About Glenn Bowman

I draw on a variety of interests and experience with my work.

My primary interest is spirituality and its expression in the various traditions and methods of healing.

Living in South America, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a genuine healing tradition based on the primacy of the human spirit. This encouraged me to return to my homeland of Perth to study Chinese medicine. From here I began deepening into the foundations of the medicine in the 黃帝內經 Huangdi Neijing and studying the Chinese language.

Towards the end of my Chinese medical studies I was introduced to craniosacral therapy, which quickly became a deep calling. Over the following years I completed studies with both Body Intelligence and the Institute for Craniosacral Training.

I have worked in multiple clinics in Western Australia and Queensland, including QuIHN, a multi-disciplinary clinic in Brisbane focusing on recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Working with these types of mental health conditions is a particular interest of mine. Last year I lived in East London, South Africa, where I worked as the primary acupuncturist in a busy clinic. This was a fantastic experience in which I was exposed to a wide range of conditions and people from walks of life very different from those found in suburban Australia. It thus deepened my understanding of human beings, illness, and the therapeutic power of Chinese medicine.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the Great Mystery that surrounds us and in which we live and breathe. This has led to a life of exploring various lands and cultures. I have deeply enjoyed spending periods of my life in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe — all places my heart calls home.

Where do heart beats, healing, traumas, paths, Persian rugs, strange languages, jungle rivers, nightly dreams and ancient traditions interweave?

That’s where I like to be…
